Worksheet Compare lets you choose the type of information that appears on an output report. An output report is a workbook generated by Worksheet Compare that lists the differences found when worksheets are compared.
An output report can include details of:
- inputs (values entered directly into cells, i.e. not calculated by formulas)
- results (values calculated by an underlying formula)
- formulas
You can choose one, two or three output options depending on your needs. If you select "formulas" as an output option, you will also need to specify whether to list all formulas with external links.
Formulas with external links
Worksheet Compare assumes that there have not been any row and column movements on external worksheets. If this is not the case, Worksheet Compare may:-
- report some formulas with links to external worksheets as having changed when they have not,
- not report differences in some formulas with links to external worksheets
Consequently, Worksheet Compare gives you the option to "list all formulas with external links". If you choose this option Worksheet Compare will include on the output report all formulas with links to external worksheets.
