Summarizer's Names Worksheet Report

The following table explains the items that appear on the "Names" worksheet. All information relates to the active workbook at the time Summarizer was run.

Item Details
Name name of user defined macro, range of cells or user defined function
Local Sheet Name name of sheet on which "Name" is defined locally; blank if "Name" is defined globally within the active workbook
Definition the formula, reference or macro associated with "Name"
Type either "User Macro", "User Function" or "Defined Name" depending on what "Name" represents
Shortcut Key shortcut key associated with a user macro
Is Visible "Yes" if "Name" is visible in Excel’s "Name" dialog box; "No" otherwise
Is Range "Yes" if "Name" is a valid reference; "No" otherwise
Contains Relative References "Yes" if "Name" contains a relative reference; "No" otherwise (In the case of very long formulas, Summarizer may not be able to check the entire formula for relative references. In this case "Not fully evaluated - formula too long" will be displayed.)

If the active workbook contains no names, the "Names" worksheet will be empty except for the following text: "Workbook contains no names"

Hyperlinks

If a "Name" refers to a reference then it will be hyperlinked. Clicking on the hyperlink will take you to the associated range.

You may experience some problems with hyperlinks if you are using Excel 97. In this case you should consult " Excel behaves strangely when I click on a hyperlink" in this help file.
