ProtectionRemover Dialog Box

There are two ways to run ProtectionRemover. In the "Removal method" section, click on either the "Use password" or "Automatic" radio button.

  1. The "Use password" method requires you to type in the password for each worksheet that is protected. Do this by clicking on the ellipses (...) button. The Password List dialog box will open. Type in the password for each worksheet listed in the Password List dialog box that you wish to unprotect. If a password is not entered or a wrong password is entered for a worksheet, the worksheet will not be unprotected.

    Enter password dialog box

  2. The "Automatic" method will remove the worksheet protection for all worksheets without you having to type in the passwords. This method is only available in the registered version.
Next, select "Active Workbook" if you wish to unprotect the active workbook and all its worksheets. Select "All workbooks" if you wish to unprotect all open workbooks and worksheets.

Click on the check box to indicate that you have permission from the owner(s) of the spreadsheets to unprotect the worksheets and workbooks.

Once you have checked the check box, the OK button will be enabled. Click on the OK button to unprotect the workbooks and worksheets.
