How to Use UltraSleuth AdvancedSearch

To use AdvancedSearch:

  1. Click the AdvancedSearch button on the toolbar (or use the menu),
  2. Type the text you are searching for into the edit box labeled "text to find"
  3. Set the search options you want to use
  4. Choose the items you want to look in
  5. Define the scope of the search
  6. Click OK

AdvancedSearch is capable of doing two types of search. The first is a simple search, using optional wildcards. The second is a regular expression search.

In both cases you type the text you are searching for into the edit box labeled "text to find". AdvancedSearch will interpret the text as a regular expression if you check the regular expression checkbox (see options). If you do not check the regular expression checkbox, AdvancedSearch will perform a simple search.
