If there’s one thing we can expect from a Florence Pugh appearance during Fashion Week, it’s a sheer dress moment.

The movie star debuted her latest transparent look while sitting front row at Valentino’s Fall/Winter 2023 haute couture runway show in France today. Her ensemble worked a pretty pastel palette, from her cotton-candy-pink pixie cut to her billowing lavender gown. The dress, made of a gauzy see-through fabric, included pleating details at the shoulders that extended into a ruffled collar. The plunging square neckline and backless silhouette added an edgy juxtaposition to the piece’s delicate, feminine characteristics, like the draping train or the black bow attached to the back of her neck.

Pugh finished off the look with sky-high platform pumps in black and a black studded purse. As for her jewelry, the Don’t Worry Darling star wore diamond earrings and rings from Tiffany & Co.

Pugh is known for making fashion statements via bold, sheer clothing. She went viral at Valentino’s couture show last year when she showed up in a daring hot-pink tulle gown, which featured a completely see-through bodice. In an interview for Harper’s Bazaar’s September 2022 cover story, she reflected on the controversy the outfit ignited.

“I was comfortable with my small breasts,” she said. “And showing them like that—it aggravated [people] that I was comfortable. ... It was just alarming, how perturbed they were. They were so angry that I was confident, and they wanted to let me know that they would never wank over me. Well, don’t.”
