Actress Vanessa Kirby knows that food, exercise, and a consistent health regime are all about feeling good in your own body. In our latest episode of Food Diaries, our December/January 2020 cover star reveals that she got into the habit of healthy living while training for Mission: Impossible. "I think all of us really learned that exercise, training, and regime is more about how it makes you feel," she says. "If it makes you feel good, then do it." Ahead, the actress walks us through an entire day of eats, from her breakfast smoothie to her current favorite salad dressing.

"I don't eat first thing in the morning," the former star of The Crown actress confesses. "I used to. I always used to have a really early rye bread with avocado, but now I've gotten really into smoothies." Her breakfast smoothie of choice tends to include classic ingredients like bananas, blueberries, lemons, oats, and almond milk.

For lunch, Kirby opts for a tray of sweet potatoes, a salad full of nutrient-rich vegetables, and a special dressing made out of soaked cashews, capers, maple syrup, garlic, and lemon. She also keeps her snacking simple, going with nuts, chips with hummus, or some chocolate (if she's craving comfort food).

"I get really hangry," she adds, saying that her hangry level gets to a point "that is uncomfortable for the people around me. Super grumpy. I'll eat anything."
