You can always count on Carolina Herrera to bring a little bit of fun to your closet. Since its conception in 1981, with the support of fashion editor Diana Vreeland, the Venezuelan designer's eponymous label has been known to bring an unabashed femininity to the New York fashion world. Through its use of elevated materials, exaggerated silhouettes, and a keen attention to detail, the iconic brand mastered the art of everyday opulence for decades, extending the same approach to its collection of accessories. Case in point: The new Spring 2022 eyewear collection.

The luxury brand has partnered with heritage eyewear company Safilo and is honing in on its distinct joyous spirit with a lineup of artfully-designed frames. Oversized styles are made with a retro '70s look, while the timeless cat-eye pairs are clad with embellishments and unexpected tortoiseshell color ways. Minimalists will appreciate the collection's more traditional silhouettes, including the D-shaped acetate opticals, which can be fitted with prescription lenses, for a more super chic alternative your go-to spectacles.

To put the new eyewear on full display, the brand released a poolside campaign to coincide with the announcement that captured each style in its element. Photographed by Dario Catellani, it featured model Mica Argañaraz who playfully sported the new frames, whilst sitting poolside. For those that are ready to get their hands on a pair, Carolina Herrera's new collections with Safilo are set to hit stores (both online and in-person) later this Spring.
